- Insert swab into a nostril.
- Swirl in both directions.
- Place swab with guard into buffer tube, swirl and rotate.
- Drop four drops into the sample well.
- Wait 15 minutes for results.
For infants 6–23 months, slide guard into swab first before nostril insertion.
- Do not use if there are no symptoms at all.
- Do not use if symptoms have lasted longer than 5 days.
- Do not freeze.
- Do not use after expiration date.
- Do not use the test on anyone under 6 months of age.
- Children 6–23 months must use swab guard during collection to reduce risk of injury.
- Children 6–23 months must have at least two adults present to appropriately perform sample collection.
- Do not use with an infant was born prematurely, has a congenital lung or heart disease, neurologic or neuromuscular condition especially those who have difficulty swallowing or clearing mucus secretions, or if your child has signs of severe illness, such as short or shallow breathing, flaring of the nostrils, visible pulling in of the chest or stomach while breathing, or a bluish discoloration around the lips or fingertips.
